PROGRAM NOTES by the composer:
"Pajdushko" was written for harpsichordist Faythe Vollrath on the Serbian dance of the same name which translates as "drunken dance".  It's meant to represent a sad tale told at a bar which turns into a fantastical tale and finally a joyous celebration of life.  It was premiered in Serbia by Faythe and has been repeated many times in the US to great applause.
